The microcredential aims to train students to manage and develop intellectual property protection (IPP) processes, through the identification of political and institutional mechanisms and available instruments, from the national and international patent system to the legal and technical issues of technology licensing. This microcredential also intends to provide knowledge about the relationship between the protection of intellectual property and the promotion of innovation.
Students should acquire skills in the handling of intellectual property protection and licensing instruments, aimed at fostering innovation, in the assessment and (strategic) use of relevant mechanisms and instruments in this domain to ensure competitive advantages.
