On 8 May 2025, DigiAdvance was proud to be represented at the Fintech Corridor 5-Year Anniversary event, held at Waterman House in Belfast. As a partner of the Fintech Corridor, DigiAdvance was naturally aligned with the event’s theme of fostering cross-border innovation, collaboration, and digital growth.
DigiAdvance in the Agenda
Our presence was clearly reflected in the event’s agenda, particularly during the “Fintech Support Programme” session. This segment of the programme highlighted key EU cross-border initiatives, including DigiAdvance and the FINE matchmaking programme. The project was featured as a vital mechanism for supporting SMEs and microbusinesses in embracing digital transformation across the island of Ireland.

Fintech support programme – EU opportunities
This session provided a platform to showcase the tangible ways in which DigiAdvance is enabling SMEs on both sides of the border to access digital tools, tailored training, and practical support.
Cross-Border collaboration
The event’s wider focus on North–South cooperation strongly echoed DigiAdvance’s mission to promote economic connectivity and digitally driven growth across the region.
RegTech and regulatory alignment
Discussions comparing EU and UK regulatory frameworks highlighted the growing need for accessible digital guidance—something DigiAdvance is well-placed to offer to businesses navigating post-Brexit compliance and innovation pathways.
Workforce and skills development
As the digital skills agenda continues to evolve, the event’s focus on reskilling and talent development strongly resonated with DigiAdvance’s commitment to upskilling SMEs through tools such as micro-credentials and digital capability mapping.
Networking and partnership building
The anniversary also offered valuable opportunities to engage with founders, business leaders, and academic stakeholders—many of whom are already connected with or stand to benefit from DigiAdvance’s resources and support structures.
Looking ahead
The Fintech Corridor’s 5-Year Anniversary was both a celebration and a call to action. It underlined the importance of long-term collaboration in building a thriving, future-ready regional economy, and reaffirmed DigiAdvance’s role at the centre of this progress.
As the project continues to grow, DigiAdvance remains focused on equipping SMEs with the digital confidence and capabilities they need to succeed, and on strengthening the cross-border connections that drive innovation and resilience.
