DigiAdvance Hosts Accelerator Workshop at DCU

DigiAdvance brought together business leaders and entrepreneurs at the DCU Glasnevin Campus for an Accelerator Workshop held on February 22, 2024. The gathering, organised in collaboration with Professor Theo Lynn from DCU Business School, DCU Studio, and the Irish Institute of Digital Business, focused on leveraging digital technologies to achieve business goals.

The event started with small-group workshops featuring interactive sessions, including:

  • Michael Dowling, Professor of Finance at DCU, on ‘Developing and Using an AI Financial Assistant for Your Company.’
  • Alistair Croll on lean analytics in business.
  • Eric Weaver on ‘Custom GPTs to Boost Sales.’

Attendees also participated in a hands-on VR session in the Colm Delves Leadership Lab at DCU Business School. These sessions were chaired by DigiAdvance consortium members, including Dr. Daniel Franco Puntes (Autonomous University of Barcelona), Bruno Lins (University of Aveiro), and Hilary Moran (The FinTech Corridor), providing participants with networking and mentoring opportunities.

Dr. Mairéad Nic Giolla Mhichíl opened the main event with the launch of the DigiAdvance report, ‘Digital Talent in Europe.’ This was followed by insightful talks from:

  • Eric Weaver, CEO of Transparent Path
  • Alistair Croll, Author of Lean Analytics
  • Bobby Healy, CEO of Manna
  • Kathy Taylor, Dean of Collins College of Business, University of Tulsa.
