‘Lunch & Learn’ Webinars
On November 12th, 2024, DCU launched the first in a new series of DigiAdvance Lunch & Learn webinars for SMEs. This exciting series provides an opportunity for SME leaders, managers and employees to engage with leading DCU academics on developments in key digital technologies, including AI and FinTech.
In the first webinar, entitled ‘AI for Business Finance: Everything Must Change!’, Prof Michael Dowling, DCU Professor of Finance, provided an engaging and practical session on the transformative effects of GenAI. He explored how businesses could benefit from learning the smartest answers to their biggest questions using the leading available models to implement wins within their organisations. A third Lunch & Learn webinar, presented by Prof Theo Lynn, DCU Professor of Digital Business, will be held this Spring – watch this space for further updates!
Inside DigiAdvance: Our consortium meeting in Barcelona
On January 17th, 2025, the DigiAdvance partners met for their third in-person consortium meeting, this time hosted by project partners Mobile World Capital Barcelona (MWCB) and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Partners were welcomed to the MWCB campus in Port Vell, Barcelona for a full and productive day of review, discussion and project planning for the year ahead.
Thanks to DigiAdvance consortium partners in MWCB and UAB for welcoming the group and providing a valuable opportunity for partners to meet and discuss the project in-person. We look forward to providing more exciting new DigiAdvance courses and events in 2025, including Accelerator Workshops in Barcelona in March and Aveiro in October.
